Stump Work
Stump Work
When trees are felled or dismantled to ground level or above, they leave a ''tree stump'' where not a lot can grow except mushrooms/fungi and shoots from the still-living root system.
Options :
Poison the stump, with something like Roundup, Deep root ultra or something of the like. Although there really is no way to poison the stumps without risk of poisoning the ground around them. So not a great method unless you are not planning on planting new things.
Grind it out, More often than not the most cost effective and least labour demanding method for removing a stump is to grind it out, we have forged very close links with one of Londons leading stump grinding companys to bring this service to our customers. Stump grinding is not only preferred but relatively inexpensive. This service can be done when the tree is first cut down or much later on. The stump will be ground down to below ground level by specialist equipment controlled by a competant operator. The end result is the complete removal of your stump and ground roots, preventing re-growth. After removal the area will be ready for you to replant, turf or construct on. Specialist tree stump grinding equipment is necessary and come in a variety of sizes for use, depending on the size of the tree, how deep the stump is ground and how much access we have.
