Tree Felling / Removal

The specialist removal of a whole tree or trees with the use of hand tools. An axe, saw or chainsaw can be used to complete this.

In more recent years a chainsaw is prefered and more common. Specialist cutting techniques, personal protective equipment( PPE) and good practice are adopted to ensure the safety of the operator, general public and property. All PPE should conform to applicable CE/EN standards where appropriate.

Although anyone can pick up a tool and use it, not everyone can use it safely and only the correctly trained people should use a chainsaw. Before you decide on a Tree Surgeon ask to see proof of his/her qualifications. Can be in the form of an ID card or an A4 certificate of competancy. A genuine Tree Surgeon will not mind showing you. A cowboy will probably not have the proof or insurance for that matter.
